The journey on the road to peace of mind

Life gets heavy.

At times, you’re going to feel like you’re falling apart at the seams. It could be one thing weighing you down. It could be many things holding you back. It can be something akin to a massive obstacle in your life or it could be ubiquitous work, school work, or errands. Hans Selye once said, “It’s not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it”. Our true character shines not when we are presented with the roadblocks, but in how we deal with it.

But we have SO many things to deal with. If you’re a student, you know what I’m talking about. If you’re not a student, you still know what I’m talking about. How are you supposed to balance all your work with your social lives, goals, deadlines, hobbies and interests, and TV shows you wanted to watch? In fact, it’s almost guaranteed that something will slip through the cracks and be forgotten until it’s too late.

Here’s how you deal with life.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was from a horse master. He told me to go slow to go fast. I think that applies to everything in life. We live as though there aren’t enough hours in the day but if we do each thing calmly and carefully we will get it done quicker and with much less stress.
Viggo Mortensen

A journey of a thousand miles began with one step. Get a planner and plan your journey out. If some deadline is stressing you out, writing its due date down will help. Now that it’s out of your mind, and set in writing, you cannot forget it in the midst of the other thousand chores you have to do.

You need to take steps to achieve your desires. And you can do this with the STEP+ planner.

A planner will help you remember your deadlines and increase your organization. In this day and age, it is imperative that you have to do lists and reminders for your many projects, goals, and deadlines. A planner will save you a vast amount of time as you won’t have to search multiple sources to check what’s due. After you write down your objective, your mind can focus on other things and prevent it from nagging in the back of your mind.

A STEP+ planner takes that a step further. Its outline helps focus your goals into steps, just as Viggo Mortensen advocated. It will promote your health, your internal and personal growth. Dealing with stress in the right way is one of the fundamental keys to happiness.
